April 23rd marked the first of our three events in 2018, debating the key barriers to flexible working. Our audience of 100 people were inspired by our panel, where Russell Parsons (Editor of Marketing Week), Vanessa Johnson-Burgess (co-founder of Availexe) and Benedict Dellot (Associate Director, Economy, Enterprise and Manufacturing) discussed the key factors underpinning a culture that embraces flexible working.
Attendees then broke into 4 discussion groups with Dee Gosney from HSBC tackling issues of trust, Tash Walker from The Mix, talking about building flexibility into culture with their 4 day week model, the author Ian MacRae sharing the bottom line benefits of flexible working and Annika Iantosca from Digital Mums sharing their campaign 'clean up the F Word'.
The evening concluded with attendees reflecting on the one Accelerator they were taking away, with 4 key themes emerging:
